Ron has been studying Aikido for more than 24 years and teaching at Portland Aikido for the past 15 years. He is a 4th-degree black belt, or "Yodan". He has also put on workshops and taught Aikido in local schools and for agencies such as Day One, Port Resources, the Maine Association of Social Workers and The Maine Youth Action Network.

Ron is now retired as the director of Dayowl Counseling, a mental health and substance abuse agency in Saco located at 23 Water Street, 283-8403.
