This is a six-week program where the student is seen for an hour a week at Portland Aikido.
Emphasis is placed on helping the student understand and feel his or her own power. I use posture, movement and experiential exercises as well as self-defense techniques to help students feel comfortable and safe within their own body.
The students will also learn coping skills to deal with their own uncomfortable feelings. They will be introduced to chanting and meditation plus a variety of relaxation exercises.
The program can also be adapted on an individual basis or group basis.
